Automatic borders
Automatic borders (Border Automagic) pick the border pieces between two different grounds on their own, following the project’s borders.xml rules.
Turning them on and off
Section titled “Turning them on and off”In the brush options panel, the Automatic borders checkbox applies to the ground brush and to the Eraser (where it is called Automatic borders and walls). On wall brushes, the Connect walls checkbox does the same job: the wall links to its neighbors, including T, cross and end pieces. See Brush and palette.
Carpets and tables always connect.
Finish (Acabamento)
Section titled “Finish (Acabamento)”The Acabamento button in the Selection panel redoes the border of a carpet (such as the “tiny borders”) around an area. Mark with M an area that has a piece of finished border and the part that is missing. Orbiz finds the carpet from the pieces already in the area, works out the floor that carries the piece and the one it separates, and puts the right piece on every tile around it, in the order of the carpets in the stack. Pieces that already exist are recalculated.
It needs at least one piece of the carpet in the area. A floor next to another kind of floor (water, for example) stays as it is. It is one undo step.
Redoing in bulk
Section titled “Redoing in bulk”With an area marked by Area selection, the Selection panel has three actions under Bulk actions (Ações em massa):
- Borderize selection redoes the borders from the neighboring grounds. Ctrl+B does the same on the whole area.
- Randomize re-rolls the ground variations, using each brush’s chances.
- Learn border infers the border rule from the tiles in the area and opens the result as a draft in the Border Workspace. It does not change the map.
The same three actions are in the area’s context menu.
The whole map
Section titled “The whole map”The LG menu, at the top of the left panel, has Borderize map… and Randomize map…. The count shows progress and has a Cancel button. Orbiz applies only after you confirm. One undo step accepts at most 200,000 tiles; above that, the editor asks you to do it floor by floor.
Border Workspace
Section titled “Border Workspace”Edit borders… in the ground brush options opens the Border Workspace. It lists the ground brushes and their friends, the “borders with” blocks and the 12 ids of each block, with an image of each piece and a 5x5 tile preview. You edit a piece’s id in place and the change is kept in the browser.
A shared border in borders.xml changes every brush that uses it.
